Quincy Porchfest and Sketchcrawl 2021
Quincy, Florida will be hosting its 8th annual Porchfest and Sketchcrawl on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1-7 p.m. Modeled after Porchfests held throughout the United States and Canada, Quincy Porchfest will feature thirty-one musical acts performing on the porches of homes in Quincy’s historic district. Area artists will also be stationed around town sketching and painting the scenery.
The Quincy Main Street Stage at the Gerald A. Gay Park (corner of N Adams and W Franklin Streets) will feature three headliners: mambo, salsa and samba music by the Latin Soul Orchestra; New Age Gospel sensation Kendrick Evans and Renew’d; and Mississippi Soul Blues legend Johnny Rawls.
A special kick-off concert featuring the Big Swing Band, Thursday Night Music Club, and the funky soul sounds of the Billy Rigsby Band will be held Friday, April 30, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. on the Quincy Main Street Stage. The Gadsden Arts Center and Museum will be hosting free art activities for teens and families.
Food trucks will be on site both days.
Bring your own chair or blanket, stroll around beautiful downtown Quincy and be entertained by talented artists and musicians. A trolley will be available to shuttle festival-goers to the various venues. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
