Continue the celebration of the Run for the Roses, America’s Greatest Race – The Kentucky Derby, the longest continually held sporting event in America. Wear your best Derby attire at our Twilight Concert on Thursday, May 14th, beginning at 6:00 PM. Enjoy live music from the Maurice Mangum while sharing a delicious meal catered by Big Papa’s Chop House—perfect for a night out filled with great sound, great food, and great company.
Maurice Mangum began his music career fronting local and regional rock bands and performing solo at bars and other hangouts in eastern North Carolina. Eventually, he moved to Washington, D.C. which afforded him opportunities to open for the likes of John Mayer, Annie Lennox, Maroon 5, Tonic, Collective Soul, Sister Hazel, and many more. Mangum’s warm tenor vocals and rhythmic-style guitar strumming prove he’s completely comfortable conveying the messages and melodies of his songs.
Dinner includes pulled pork or smoked chicken, Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, and Derby pie for dessert.
Spirits, beer and wine available.
